Hound of the Baskervilles
Two months ago, during the time when the different worlds converged, the tiny Lacie encountered a very large wolf. One month after receiving that negligible cut to her palm, she turned into a little black wolf puppy for a night, and wasted no time sinking her fangs into Kevin's hand when he tried to pick her up and keep her out of trouble.
Tonight, there are two wolves in the Baskerville House, and they've pretty much figured out what's going on.
Lady Shelly and Oswald agreed some time ago that Kevin would make a pretty good wolf, if it came to it, and he really can't help but feel like someone is laughing at him over it. His two stints as a bunny rabbit did not prepare him at all for walking around on four legs -- walking, not hopping -- and having a mouth full of huge teeth. He keeps tripping over his own feet, getting confused as he tries to sort through all the sounds and smells, and earlier his long tail got stuck in a door. It would be easier if he were a pup like Lacie, loping about the house and crawling under the furniture, but as a full-grown werewolf Kevin is huge, four feet tall at the shoulder and heavier than he is as a human. Finally, after spending half the night trying to endure the house, the white wolf ventures outside in an attempt to get used to this new form. After all, given that the Brat has turned for the second month in a row, it looks like he's probably going to be stuck with it...
When not at home with Glenwald and company, Kevin can be found wandering through the streets he often haunts during patrol, enjoying the late-night solitude of the mansion's gardens, or perhaps even sniffing about at Lady Shelly's house, just to make sure nothing suspicious is going on nearby. Hopefully, he'll be back at home safe and sound before the moon sets. If he isn't, somebody gets to deal with a mortified and very naked knight, who will proceed to sleep in their house for two days and then eat the whole pantry for breakfast. Ah, the noble life of a werewolf!

fallingbackup wearing his shiny new coat, if you will. Due to busyness, there is no post as of yet for
bittybratty's first transformation, but I will link it here whenever something is backdated. Slow, late, and backtags welcome as always!]

Re: 2/2
Gradually she tries to work her way back into his back.

She has to lay flat a moment, when he rolls over on her again. When she sits up, her hair also has gained a few twigs and leaves and tangles, but it's just in time to see that ludicrous pose and realize that he thinks he's playing with her. An eye twitches, as she tries to make up her mind whether that makes this hilarious or even more infuriating.
The jury's still out, when she leaps at him again.

As he attempts to pin her again, however, he notices the rabbit toy laying off to the side, and realizes abruptly that there isn't a Brat to go with it. Lacie still beneath him, he lifts his head suddenly, ears perked toward the toy in the hopes that she's at least nearby. Shit, the last thing he needs is to lose the Brat. She's small enough to squeeze through the gate, too, isn't she...?

Then she notices the abandoned rubber rabbit, too. Sitting up straighter, she wriggles out from under the wolf, looking out over the back yard with a frown.
"Little me...?"

...except that when he gets there and sniffs at it instinctively, Kevin discovers that he can recognize the Brat's scent on the thing, and that not every direction around the toy carries the same scent. Feeling distinctly weird, the knight snuffles around in the grass, slowly piecing together where the cub must have headed. She'd rolled around all over the place, of course, but at last, he narrows down one direction as being the most recent one. Following the trail, he wanders around the side of the house, heading for the back yard. That's not out the front gate, at least...

Following him, she goes around the side of the house, eyes going wide, when she realizes they seem to be heading for Chicken's coop...

If he had a moment more to act, Kevin would spend it rolling his eyes. Instead, he bares his own teeth and growls low in his chest, stalking forward toward it. The chicken pauses to tilt its homicidal head at the larger wolf. It appears undaunted by his size. If anything, its expression says something like, Is this motherfucker seriously pulling shit with me...? For a long moment, the two stand there, facing off. Kevin doesn't actually want to attack the chicken. Chicken thinks the wolf is a giant dumbass.
It's the puppy who ruins the moment. She darts forward to snap at the chicken's leg and nearly gets pecked for it. Kevin barrels forward then and Chicken backs up, but only because it's just had its personal space invaded. It's swiping at him a moment later, claws at the ready.

"Wait, wait!"
Slipping between the wolves and the bird, she makes soothing sounds at the fowl-tempered foul. (She also shoots a bit of a look over her shoulder at Kevin. No terrorizing her favorite pet!)
"Chicken!" she says, turning her attention back to the bird. "Want to go for walkies? It's been a while since we've gone for walkies!"
no subject
Chicken, who does not care overly much about Lacie's feelings on all this, scoots around her and gets a nice swipe in on Kevin's back end, hastening his retreat. His thick fur protects him from the worst of it, but it still stings, and he'll discover a bloody scratch back there once he's back in the house. Lacie may not let him forget the rolling and the belly rubs and the sniffing, but he's not going to let her forget that he sustained an injury on his ass -- from a chicken -- because her younger self is kinda dumb. Bah!
no subject
"C'mon. You're all going to have to learn to put up with each other. They're here to stay and so are you." she says to the bird. "I won't let them try to eat you, and you need to try not to scratch them. Now, let's go for a walk."
no subject
The rabbit toy is still on the ground when Lacie returns. Letting the puppy out again wasn't worth the risk of retrieving it. When she walks in the door, she'll find Kevin sprawled across the ground looking so pissy that he practically has a storm cloud over his head, the scratch on his bum licked clean and already healing, with Lacie going after his tail. His ears and front paws are boring now, apparently, but they are showing some signs of slobbery abuse. Half-heartedly, he flicks his tail, and the little Lacie goes barreling after it, growling as she sinks her teeth into its tip. His thick fur puffs out around the sides of her mouth. Whyyyyy isn't she tired yet...?
The elder Lacie is about to be treated to the stinkiest stink-eye to ever stink. Do something about yourself, Devil-Woman.
no subject
"Well," she says, with (irksome) cheerfullness. "At least tonight hasn't been boring."
no subject
Kevin doesn't like it when things aren't boring. Kevin likes laying around with Oswald, and being non-emotive like a tree stump. Quiet, peaceful, companionable tree stumps.
no subject
"You know," she says, quietly, conspirationally, while her younger self is still preoccupied, "You could probably escape right now, if you were fast. Chicken's has her walk, maybe you should take one."
no subject
Then again, that's just how his life goes, and all of that is going to happen again sooner or later anyway no matter what he does. He should take this chance. Unwrapping himself from the floor, Kevin waits until the puppy is not looking, and then slinks quietly out the door.
The ball will be living in Kevin's room before the week is out.
